Title: Public Renown Reports (March-April)
Post by: Justin Northwood on March 27, 2011, 06:46:08 PM
This thread is for the posting of Public Renown Reports (http://rageacrossthecape.com/development#a19) for the March-April downtime cycle.

Please do: Be as descriptive as possible.  Renown is a direct reflection/result of the tales told in the nation.  This is a very public thing, hence this public forum in which to post reports.

Please don't: Engage in additional IC (or OOC) conversations within this thread.  If another character is saying things about you that you do not like, start a thread somewhere appropriate and take it up with them IC ("so I hear you've been saying stuff about me...")  This thread is not the place to do that!

"The Rules" for this thread:

[-1-] Ahroun, Philodox and Theurge may post one item of particular note to the public report.

[-2-] Galliards and Ragabash may post two items to the public report.  Those holding the position of eldest Galliard or Ragabash may post up to three items.

[-3-] All other items of Renown worthiness may be submitted via Private Message (http://rageacrossthecape.com/forums/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=773) as normal.

Anyone not comfortable with the public thread may forgo it altogether and submit only a private report.  Just remember, items appearing in the public reports will be given more weight than the privately submitted items.  Renown is a very public thing!

Jerry may be a Bone Gnawer, but he is a better leader than some of the actual leaders at this Sept. He has the Sept's respect, even as a Bone Gnawer, Garou listen to him, follow him, shut up when he tells them to shut up. And he keeps being the Talesinger, something he repeatedly shows why. This Garou is Honorable, and it shows every time.

Fabrizio may think he is cool, may think he is doing the right thing, setting a good example as a questioner of the ways, and in some ways he is. But in others he is not. I found his actions at the Moot Honorable, in acting like a good Ragabash and questioning Jack's arbitrary justice, but asking for a punishment is unwise and disrespectful.

Rules of Mules

Some get it, some don't, when it comes to tha' mules.  Its all about places.  Yeh, I chase down rabbits, an' deer, and eat em' up, an' ne'er does tha' deer or rabbit give me an inch of attitude or entitlement, even in its death throws, there's no venom in its knell.  They can hear tha' song of Gaia, tha' tells them of their place, an' in tha' hunt, I hear mine.  Tha' bein' said, some know their place above an' below.  I saw Bella, an' Techu pitchen some metis about like a play thing, in some sort of play fight.  I think it was Walks.  An' all day tha' other one with the horns... Orange, I think her name was kept runnin' back and fourth, never breathen a word of spite in my new found necklace, eager tah earn her place among those not born, brimming with such curses.  There's honor an' Wisdom fer those who understand their place in the world, even if tha' place is painful, dull, an' bleak; Gaia never said it was going to be easy.
(+Honor/+Wisdom for Bella, Techu, Walks, and Lynn)

Our Enemies Had Titles of Their Own

Some packs start off weak, an' grow to be great, and other packs start of great, and shatter under their weight.  Rare are the packs tha' start of great, and end great, givin' all they have fer Gaia until each in turn are returned to the Earth.  Lets' hope tha' Perth's Warriors are the furthest later, because they sure ain't the former.  These Garou ripped through some might' tough minions with tha help of a' spirit an' my singing, but seemed tah do a lot better than the lot of us.  Though, some came tah battle with a little more at stake than dying at tha' hands of our enemies.  I'm talkin' about my fellow Fianna.  Visions led us to believe a direct assault would be a little trickier than we though, an' one of us roped us into a scenario where we'd win or die.  Lucky us.  We all risk death when we go to fight fer Gaia, but me an' my fellow Fianna were promised death if we weren't successful.
(+Glory for Perth's Warriors: Bella, Jack, Techu, and Peter: +Glory for Sebastion, Lynne, Garret and Eion, --Wisdom for Eion)

I Suppose its a Moot Point

Someday, I dream of a Moot where my abilities in rituals isn't tested four or five times.  The Galliards before me made it look too easy, or the Garou who participated made it easy.  I think I'm gettin' worse, though, on account of this Moot creatin' maybe more problems than it solved.  I don't much like hittin' Gaian Garou, despite what you might've heard in tha' past, but I'm seriously considerin' it.  I'm not gunna call people out this time, especially not the new Philodox, who had her very first day at our Sept.  Its not how I like tah treat guests.  What I would like to call people out on, is our Fool, Caller of the Wyld, Truth Catcher, Tale Singer, and Wyrmfoe who fufilled their duties brilliantly, even if they weren't all tha best audience members.  (+Wisdom: Mick, Eoin  +Honor: Johann  +Glory: Jerry and Benjamin and a minor hop of Honor for all)

Mick "Buries-The-Wyrm-In-Paperwork" LeSalle

Mick proved his glory as a Ragabash in battle against the Weaver Mages of Monomoy. He led the special task group that took down the communications array and disabled the monitoring devices. His group gathered vital intelligence as well, which may give insight into what exactly the Mages were doing and how they were doing it, and hopefully inspire new ways to foil them. For this I acknowledge his Glory in battle, sewing chaos among the enemy and disrupting their order of battle, and that his Wisdom never ceases, even in the heat of a perilous mission. Anyanka was also a critical part of gathering that information and deserves mention for her Wisdom in this as well.

Jerry - +wisdom for tactics during assualt on monomoy.  He not only had a good plan, but he listened for input, took advise, formulated a plan that assured noone was injured at all and all objectives were achieved.  He used people's available skills effectively and expediently.

Jerry 'Speaks Without Words' Castillo-

Jerry showed great Wisdom in the assault on the Realm side of Monomoy. He kept focus on his team's mission, and adjusted to the situation in the lighthouse and on the island with a revised plan, accepting input from his pack and team, but firmly making the final decision. His leadership and decision-making allowed the team to complete its mission without any injuries in combat, and without causing the deaths of any of the security teams we faced.

The pen of Johann Hromu would like to give note to one Geraldo "Speaks Without Words" Castillo, who showed great wisdom and honor in leading the Monomoy Realm Assault of this past month, with the only breach of intent arising from a separate party through no fault of their own. His beta should be proud.

Jerry, man. That kid's got cahones. He's the only one who could get the elders to listen and talked 'em outta goin' right to their deaths. They were ready to ignore Spritual Warnings, and spiritual prophecy alike, until Jerry talked 'em down and showed 'em good sense, that not even Adren and Athro are immortal. I knew he was good in a fight, but never saw him talk to people like that. Wisdom all the way, yo.

Masha. Girl's got follow through. She summoned a Tribal Avatar of her own tribe and acted as an in-between and did her job. Glory for Theurges doesn't always mean hitting things. Sometimes it means stepping up, biting off more than you can chew, and fuckin' swallowin' anyways. Nevermind the Honor of it all.

I require clarification.

Masha - While her actions and results proved useful, the ends do not justify the means. While one can do something which turns out for the best, often there is a price which must be paid then or later. Summoning the avatar of a tribe for any reason as a Cliath is both foolish and dangerous. With age can comes Wisdom. I hope she finds hers in time but for now she still needs to learn from the beginning.

- Wisdom

Benjamin - Perhaps it takes some brass balls to stare down and berate a Get of Fenris as he is beating you down but calling your Elder Dishonorable without true proof and cause in public is just plain stupid. Jack may have allowed his flesh to not feel the pain of his lack of judgment but my tongue can not. There are lines you do not cross and calling out anyone as dishonorable without strong proof and doing so to a Sept Elder in a public place is simply unacceptable. Let alone the fact that we as a Sept continue to suffer under the lapses his multiple personalities bring down on us, but I will reserve that particular renown loss until he has been given time within his pack to resolve that issue.

- Wisdom, - - Honor

Anyanka Kuznetsova  - Wisdom

She arrives at our sept as a guest, is given hospitality, and frenzies at our moot over something that didn't even involve her.  Not wise at all.

Don't let nobody tell you that Mick "Buries the Wyrm in Paperwork" isn't an Honorable and Wise Garou.  Is he an ass?  Abso-freaking-lutely.  But that's his job, and when the need arises, he steps up.  I trusted him to lead the Realm-side sabotage team during the Monomoy attack, and they had the mages' communications and infrastructure taken down right when it needed to be.  More than that, though, as a lotta you heard, Mick recently left my pack.  Black Unicorn asks a lot from his kids, and Mick saw that he wasn't gonna be walking that path.  Rather than push it or hide it or bail out in the middle of the night, he told me about it straight-up first and he left on good terms.  Knowing when to walk away before your septmates or the spirits gotta smack you down is something I'd like to see more of (+Wisdom, +Honor).

Masha Ivanova has gotten some flack for not sparring around the sept, I know.  She don't think it's good for us to fight each other, which I'm on board with.  But I gotta admit, I was worried along with everybody else that her hesitation was gonna affect her performance when push came to shove, especially against non-Wyrm tainted bad guys.  Let me tell you, she proved herself ten times over.  Her arrows brought down fleeing Park Rangers before they could call more trouble, and without killing them to boot!  We can expect that kinda thing from our Fury-born Fostern archer Damien, but Masha was right there matching him shot for shot.  A seriously Glorious performance (+Glory).
