I'm not sure of the details or what this all means, but I guess it takes like 6 months for an application to be moved into probationary period.

I doubt it will take 6 months.  Just leave the app as it is...unless something major happens, and it'll go through relatively quickly.

Relatively is the key, there.  This IS a beauracracy...
