The greater One World by Night
« on: March 07, 2012, 10:45:48 AM »
Always, always makes me chuckle and shake my head.

This is in reference to the current dick-waving and holier-than-thou on the Garou IC yahoo list, though I must say that those two things are about 95% of all IC emails from that list.

If you want interesting discussion that is usually free of these things, your tribal and auspice lists are the way to go.

*tries to imagine the Silver Fang list sans holier-than-thou posturing* *fails*

Edit: Admittedly, I've never been on the full IC list. Could be we Fangs are classier about it.

Ah. It's one of those conversations. I'll remain happily out of the loop, I think.

I was wondering if that was the general tone.... i am saddened to hear it is. Also, is it just me or are the Bone Gnawer and Ahroun lists just dead?

The Glass Walker list is dead, too, if that's any consolation.  I've never been on the IC list, it seemed like a very dated and confusing way to communicate even in the early 2K's.

The Ahroun list is pretty dead.  To be fair, we are not traditionally known as the talkiest of auspices.

Of all the auspice lists I've been on, and that's most of them, Ragabash is the talkiest, followed by Galliard. Usually when some drama thing blows up on the IC list, or just before. Silver Fang list is dead, until it's not, then they say the same thing many times over for a week or two...then it goes dead again.

Still the deadest has been the Kinfolk Network, which has only had one thing on it...and that's when someone sent something there by mistake.

Of the tribal lists I have been on, Shadowlord has had the most stuff.

Of the auspice lists, Ragabash.

Every list I've ever been on (Auspice/Tribe) has been mostly dead, with short to lengthy periods of heavy posting, mostly related to a particular thing and sometimes it's offshoots.

As far as the Kinfolk list is concerned, perhaps that is related to a relatively low number of Kinfolk PCs org-wide?  If that's the case, then maybe more STs of Kinfolk PCs should be on the list in order to make things a little more fun for their players (via Kinfolk NPCs)?
