as an FYI

there is a blank button between edit profile and calendar. 
this button will bring you to your private message area.

just a helpful hint that i discovered myself today
not sure if others have found this too

Nice to know... can you give it a name perhaps? Make it more visable?

it doesn't really allow me too  its the setting so have to deal for now
