Man, OWbN sometimes hurts my brain
« on: December 12, 2007, 08:09:51 PM »
Am I the only one who thinks two things in current IC discussion on the yahoogroup as totally what-the-fuck moments?! By which I mean stupid-does-not-belong-in-Werewolf-the-Apocalypse.

I am refering to an Uktena that has "Little Bunyip" as part of his deedname, and a Garou supposedly considered both homid and lupus because he lived with Red Talons.

For those of you that don't know, the Bunyip were the 15th tribe, living in Australia, mating with Thylacines, and were wiped out by the Garou Nation in the War of Tears. Unlike Croatan, Bunyip spirits survive, and they hate Garou, worse than the hate of Wendigo.

As far as him being both homid and lupus, he's not, he's a homid that was raised by wolves (think Lord of the Jungle). Rumors spread and people misinterpreted. As far as the Red Talon thing, yeah, it hurts my brain too. Yes, he was Omega, and ripped up by them, but it still hurts my brain, as does the concept of Red Talons living in ANY mixed Caern that has constant dealings with cities. But... well, it makes good stories for them and there's no reason for us to not do an IC WTF. Tale may not, cause she doesn't know a whole lot better, well other than knowing not to get ANYWHERE near a Wendigo Sept if she wants to live. But Twilight, well, I'm just waiting for her to find out about a few things and have them explained in a way that she can understand.

Hells, yes.

As for the "it makes good stories for them", I think it's sad (at the very least) when a game has to go to those genre-bending lengths to make good stories.

Agreed. And you want to bring Twilight along for your cleansing?

Seeks has always been the lone gunman type.

Besides, it's more fun when people, who don't know the character, find out what he is.

I still want to write up the 'lupus in the city' scenario, when he gets jumped by some gang bangers and he scalps them.

Hey, it worked for the French?

Litle Bunyip is his deed name, in no way is he actually related to the bunyip. This i know as his storyteller.

As for it's story should ask the galliard or the one who gave it to him. Who might just be "Not so sane"

But then again most of us just call him Party Foul.

I know he's not related to the Bunyip. I'm just annoyed as always about things like that...
