Walking to work today I was struck by what I think is an excellent idea for next game, plus I can order the IC parts if I really choose!
As part of Honeybee's bans include feasting in lieu of a moot, why don't we extend the event game idea slight and have next game be a giveaway ceremony?
That would mean IC, a feast and giveaway of gifts to those needing them.
OOC, this would mean a potluck dinner and using item cards (or other cheap things) instead of actual gifts.
This is motivated by the fact that in Calvin's culture giveaways happen near to any major ceremonies (in fact, they play a part of most ceremonies). We just completed a major ceremony, and IC Calvin wants something more than boozing and whoring to have celebrated that.

That sounds like a great idea. Actually, Soothing Rain is planning an event to take place during next month's game. It's still in the works, but I plan on having everyone eat together afterward (it was originally going to just be cookies and milk). Maybe we can incorporate this into your idea?

I always enjoy an excuse to try out new recipes. Need to look up Scandinavian food that won't kill people...

Next game is October 4. I imagine it will still be at our house, unless different arrangements are made that quickly. If the weather is still forgiving enough we should be able to have at least part of the game outside, otherwise there is plenty of room throughout the house.

True, the fire helps... As for the Hot Pockets... Will James be cooking them in the Cell-Foam/Mike-Row-Wave thingie with the buttons?

I doubt the cold will be much of an issue by then. Besides, the weak shall freeze. It will make for a stronger sept!

I like it. I was plan on giving little gifts to the purelanders any ways, I can simply make more of them now.
I hope my clay is still good.
I can also make cheesecake - from scratch (Its about the only thing I can make).
