...there's a Boston game?  Where can I find out more about this?  (I am kinda enthralled by the game crossover idea.)

If I remember correctly, the Boston game is an All Giovanni Vampire game.  So no werewolves allowed, unless you want them to devour your soul.

Well, any OWbN character is free to travel to any other OWbN game (either in person, or on their forums) and participate in that game.  Participation is at the character's own risk, meaning, if you die in that game, there is little that we as the staff of RAtC can do about it.  If you feel you were treated unfairly, then we can attempt to work with their staff to mediate, but it is what it is.  As far as the Boston game goes, it is a Vampire game, so probably not such a good idea for a garou PC to make an appearance.  As far as earning travel XP for your character, that is handled on a case by case basis if you actually travel to another game physically, and will be determined by the staff of RAtC.  In any case, you would not be able to exceed 8XP per month, as per the OWbN rules.

As far as other local Garou games go, there is the Sept of the Hidden Flame, based in Providence (RI is their territory).  That game meets in Willimantic CT every other saturday.  There is also City of Springs, which is IC and OOC located in central CT.

For a list of other OWbN Garou game websites/forums, checkout the link below to the post in the OOC section.  That post also contains a link to the comprehensive list of other chronicles and websites/forums on the OWbN website:

The Rhode Island game meets in Connecticut, and the Nantucket game meets in Warwick?

Also, signing up for the appropriate Tribe/Auspice Yahoo group is probably the best bet for day-to-day interaction with other garou PC's in the org.  Since the yahoo groups are not "owned" by any one chronicle, they serve as a medium for any and all characters to interact via email posts.  There are yahoo groups for each tribe and auspice, as well as a general garou IC and garou OOC lists.  You can find out more about those below.  References to "GOWbN" are referring to the "Garou" genre within the OWbN org.

Yes, I know it sounds strange, but IC location has no bearing on OOC location where the game actually meets.  The Providence game used to meet in Warwick, but has amassed a number of players from the Groton and Willamantic areas as of the last couple of years.  As of about a year ago, the OOC game location moved permanently to the HST's house in Willimantic, CT

Oh, larpers.  You so crazy.

(I had this idea of crashing HF on Sunday after painting on Saturday, but that looks like it's less practical than I thought it'd be, and so I'll shelve it.)

Hidden Flame starts at 2:00 on Saturday PM similar to RAtC, and usually runs about the same length of time on a good day.  Their next game is this upcoming Saturday though (theoretically while we'll be painting).  The game meets every other week though, vs. once per month.  If it is your intention to go at some point, you may want to sign up on their forums first and send a PM to their staff or post a thread somewhere in thier OOC section to indicate if/when you plan on attending.  As a point of Reference, I have a PC in that game that I have not played in quite a while.  Joe also has had different PCs in the game in the past, and most recently had Pebe in that game (Pebe started at RAtC, transferred to HF for a while, then recently transferred back).  Without going into tons of details, there are many RAtC players (and even their current PCs) that have at one time or another been associated with HF.  Feelings on the game are mixed...  If anyone who is/was an HF player is interested in bringing it up and discussing their experiences, they are welcome to, but I don't want to drag anyone into this conversation that would rather not comment.

I played in a game or three of HF back in the day (Ken was an ST at the time) and wasn't too impressed with people who weren't Ken.  But the idea of swinging through a game as a genuine visitor, a new pack alpha shopping for a Philodox, and the like, was appealing to me - I was not expecting a great game, but figured I could have fun with the experience anyway.

That said, I misread the calendar, as I thought their game was Sunday.  If the game overlaps with painting, that sorta doesn't fit my "convenient after-painting activity" plan.

Thanks for the info, though!

Yeah, I've been kicking around the whole 'Vihtori checks out other American septs idea. Not sure if I'll ever end up going to HF though.

A big reason is the travel times/gas prices. When HF moved to a Perm CT home, a lot of the RI players opted to stay with the game that played in RI.
