Well, Ari's swimming originated from a chiminage where she had to swim in the ocean for a water spirit, in payment for playing a prank on Patrick (which was hilarious <3) and I assumed she was Umbra side.

Is the water evil? Did nobody tell me the water was evil?

When thoth was down in hiddenflame, i recall that there were many times it was bad to swim in water.  The water in the park was "normal" safe but oceans and bays was bad.   Bad on the umbral side that is.

That's because the bay is infected and tainted. Alice has swam in the water down in the South County beaches plenty of times.

Yeah mostly different situation here.

The ocean here especially around Monomoy island is vastly different then the waters in HF as they were portrayed when I was a member of the staff there.  Because of the fishing in the area these waters are protected from most polution, i do stress most.  There arent many companies in the area that drop pollutants into the oceans liek they do the narragansett bay.

Its still not completely safe and there are definitely wyrm beasties and Rokea in the waters.  Ari has just been "lucky"

And Ari doesn't go out much further than the shore, to be fair. She doesn't feel like partying with the weresharks, thank you very much.
