Title: Elusive Errata
Post by: Justin Northwood on November 28, 2008, 05:06:31 PM
So I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been told on more than one occasion by someone that a particular WhiteWolf InconsistencyTM was "corrected in an errata."  Despite this, I have never ever come across (or been able to find in a search) any published errata from WhiteWolf.

I am beginning to think that said errata are just the stuff of folk-legend.  If anyone has actually seen any official errata documentation from White Wolf (or better yet have electronic or hard copies), please reply here or let me know.

I have once, in a Storyteller's screen for Wraith of all things. The little booklet that came with the screen printed prehaps the best crossover rules printed anywhere in OWoD, along with some errata. This is a more than ten-yea old memory, though, so its suspect as best.

I've come across a couple on the WhiteWolf site, namely for Armory and another for the WoD Rulebook.  I have another one for Caerns that identifies several paragraphs of missing text, but can't tie it to WhiteWolf, although one reference that claimed to have a link to said Caerns errata had a broken link to the WhiteWolf site.

I wish there were something to address some of the issues in LotW and the revised Tribe Books

I think some things were addressed in the various MET Journals. Not sure if this is what people are refering to though. I've never actually seen anything labled errata that is actually from WW either.

Thus White Wolf did become the Galatic Empire, in all its might and inability to do anything but blow up planets correctly.

I've never seen errata, but I have seen house rules intended to fix such.

Some Changeling Errata was published in later books.  The Player's Guide and one of the Sidhe Kithbooks, for instance.

Yeah, okay, not all that relevant to anyone here whose PC name doesn't start with a "G" and end with an "arrett".  :P

And everyone he's packed with.

His friends turned me into a chair, I'll remind you.

See now, I don't know anything about Ari being turned into a chair.  Go tell the story to Kikea's Private Messages inbox.

The problem with two accounts, m'dear, is that you'll end up talking to yourself when you're excited and have nothing better to do.

Shhhhhhhhhhh . . . they don't know that being a little . . . off . . . is practically a prerequisite for being a Changeling Narrator, yet.  Don't spoil the surprise.
