Title: using etiquette
Post by: Plagueslayer on November 11, 2011, 05:01:44 PM
Last game I briefly played Dr. Greer, Mashs challenged him for fostern he explained that he would offer her a challenge when her scandal had been resolved.  She burned an etiquette to try and undo her challenge saying she would find someone else.

Can she do that?

You can't, in my opinion, burn a point of Etiquette to take back the challenge itself but you can to make the finding of someone else acceptable.

I did it cause it involved two people misinterpreting what an ST said. If I ooc knew that you interpreted the rule differently I would not have done it in the first place

I believe that that's a perfectly valid In Character choice on behalf of Greer, regardless of rule's interpretations but rather just dealing with PC Philosophy. The Etiquette could be used to graciously excuse herself and go find someone else, but not to retcon the question.

I am totally fine with graceful bow out absolutely, I just want to make sure it happened so my PC can react accordingly in the future.

Meh. Etiquette has nothing much to do with it since it was a player miscommunication and all that

Sometimes miscommunications get worked out OOC, sometimes IC.  Either way, this is not a big deal, Joe B. just wanted a clarification and received one.  Onwards we go.
