Midwinter stuffs (In case any of you are coming out)

IC the reason for the gathering at Midwinter will be to build the caern to trash heap that was promised by FWW in return for some valuable information. This caern will be built somewhere in/near Chicago.

OOC, besides the caern building, there will be plenty of other plot going around dealing with various things currently in play in game. There will also be plenty of time for tribal matters and other social type stuff.

HUGE event that's been going on for 11 years. It started out mainly as a Vampire event, but has recently (last year) brought in Garou.

This year they are bringing in more vendors and other games to be run during the days so it's more of a convention than it used to be.

Held in: Milwaukee, WI at the Best Western Airport Inn, Suites and Conference center.

Dates: January 14-17th.. It's that weekend and a Thursday through Sunday. (My brain is fogged over from pregnancy )

Some new announcements for Midwinter 2011

__Food Drive__
The LARP Widows, our lovely ladies at Convention Check in, are having a food drive (non-perishables). They have a goal set of 300 Pounds. You are able to make your donation at the same time and place that you check in to the convention. No announcements as of yet if donations effect your registration, at the moment they do not.

__Sabbat Game Expanded__
Due to public demand, and some hotel Tetris, Sabbat (Milwaukee: Black Crusade - Satellite of Milwaukee Nocturnal Rapture. Will now also be held on Friday & Saturday (as opposed to just Saturday)

Is expected/planned for, but as this is handled by white wolf, can not be confirmed - as they usually like to surprise us Midwinter will likely not even know until that weekend.

They are offering Reservation overflow at there sister Hotel. You will be put on a Cancellation listing -ONLY- if you ask. A shuttle will run between the two hotels every 2 hours.

In the effort to always bring you a better event than the year before, we
are taking a huge leap from Midwinter Event to Midwinter Convention. Not
only are we adding an extra day to both Vampire and Werewolf this year, but
there will also be an expanded vendor room, screenings, a key note speaker
(or two), and much more. We are working overtime to take this event to the
next level, and to do that we need your help.


Want to get into Midwinter for ½ the cost of a normal badge? We are looking
for people interested in running open gaming on Friday and Saturday during
the day. If you are interested, please contact Mike Dresen at midwintergm@gmail.com Submissions will be considered on a first come basis taking into account the genre of game. Volunteer to run a game and your
admission to the con will be only $20.00 (that’s half the price of at the
door admission, and $10 less than the early bird special!). Deadline for
game submissions is October 31st, 2010.
