Winter Game Location

At tonight's ST Meeting it has been decided unanimously by the staff that the game will remain in Rhode Island for the entirety of the year.
While we appreciate everything Camelot has done being our host the past few years, we feel the game will benefit in the long run by having one location.  This is not saying we won't consider alternative game locations for certain games.

FWIW, this decision was mostly based on relative attendance numbers of the recent games in Berlin versus Providence.

I think there are confounding factors in that particular bit of logic, but "we feel the game will benefit in the long run by having one location." is really the only argument that is necessary. I totally support this decision, inconvenient though it may be for me.

I look forward to perhaps making it down for a game this winter, but with the game location change it is unlikely.

We looked at a lot of factors to make this decision.

Greg is right however that was the most important factor.
Attendance is arbitrary because the winter is a tough sell on all accounts.

Really having a stable open environment to encourage travel to and from other OWbN games is better in the long run for the game.

i know you do not smoke inside.  hence why asking if more game will be inside.  generally game has not been inside the house just on the porch and in the yard.

We try to keep game more outdoors in the summer, because in the summer most people enjoy being outdoors more.

In the winter, that is clearly not going to be the case.

We don't really consider the porch a room in the house, although it has a table and a television and a refrigerator.  We put sheet plastic over the screens in the winter, but it gets COLD and we don't spend much time out there.  It's mostly a cigarette smoking room from November through March.
